Volunteering as Mentors

In alignment with our goal of empowering minorities, Mind the GAP volunteers as mentors for different communities. As we partner with local NGOs to teach English to these communities, we not only spend time with them with various engaging activities, but also design and distribute study resources.

Our Work as Mentors:

Design

We design various study resources that are specifically adapted for the well performance of these communities.

Some of our study resources include minority language - English translation dictionaries, short and engaging short stories, and more.

Create

Based on our prototype designs, we create these resources as physical and digital copies so that they can be accessed regularly regardless of our presence.

After creating our resources and receiving external feedback from our partnering NGOs, we share our resources to various communities as a means of extending our impact.

Teach

In order to utilize our resources much more effectively, we spend time -- not only bonding with the minority communities, -- but also teaching them how to use these resources most effectively.
