International Young Arts Competition
Many competitions are limited to people of specific nationalities or of certain backgrounds and sometimes require payment to participate. We believe that no barriers should exist when it comes to opportunities.
At Mind the GAP, we want to celebrate the creativity of many talented communities that are yet to shine. The International Young Arts Competition hosted by Mind the GAP achieves this specific goal by allowing anyone aged 11-15 to participate and win this competition, regardless of socioeconomic background or level of expertise. Participants can submit works of English, art, or music. To encourage participation, all sectors of Mind the GAP teach English, art, and music so that engagement seems less formidable and more approachable.
"Our World"
The theme Our World invites students to reflect on the environment they are part of and the individuals, spaces, and moments that influence their everyday lives. Through expression in writing, art, or music, participants are encouraged to share their perspectives, emotions, and insights about their surroundings and their connection to them. Entries may be personal, reflective, or imaginative in nature, and there is no single correct interpretation; students should select one of the sub-themes listed in the pdf attached below.

Please submit your work through this form. Multiple responses can be submitted by the same participant in different categories. The deadline is June 1st, 2026. Results will be published August 1st, 2026 after being judged by all branch leaders.
The International Young Arts Competition invites participants aged 11–15 to engage in a global, chapter-based competition focused on amplifying young voices, particularly from underserved communities. Participants can create a written piece or a short on the theme "Our World," and must submit documentation of their progress. Applications are open now, with a deadline of June 1 (11:59 PM local time). All entries must be submitted through a registered Chapter the participant's region, and eligibility requires being aged 11–15 as of June 1.
