Our Projects
Embracing Literature
Mind the GAP conducts celebrates literature in many forms as a means of reducing the language barriers for minorities. Across international branches, we hold annual international literature competition for 100+ minorities in 5+ countries.
With the works of practice and competitions, we will publish a book from the works of these minorities -- a representation of worldwide creativity and expression.

Documenting Art
Beyond literature and writing, Mind the GAP believes art is a strong form of expression. As a form of stress relief and learning, each branch holds artwork workshops where members of various minorities create pieces of art that are ultimately combined into one piece of work that represents international connection and passion.
In addition, we celebrate our progress and the tradition of these minorities through documenting the time we spend with the lovely people. Upon combining all the videos from around the world, we are creating a short film that depicts the life of the minorities and the reality of language barriers.

Celebrating Globally
Mind the GAP looks to expand our knowledge beyond the limits of our environments. We host several global seminars and interview guest speakers all around the world and look to understand the perspectives of different experts.
In addition to professional knowledge, we listen to experiential knowledge. We have conducted 50+ interviews with people of different socioeconomic backgrounds to understand their persepctive of the world and the reality of different gaps for them. We look forward to a potential collaboration with Brandon Station to host several events with Humans of New York/Hanoi/Singapore… at our different branches.

Volunteering as Mentors
To address existing language barriers, we teach minorities English. We do not focus on erasing and overlapping their unique culture, but offering another form of communication through English. We believe that the knowledge of a universal language opens many opportunities that can empower many more individuals from different communities.
In the time we do not spend with the minorities, we work to design and distribute study resources that allow us to expand our impact and reach. We look forward to a collaboration with local NGOs so that we are able to extend our impact with more experienced people in more special ways.
